I. Details of the event/activity
The title of the event that we organized was Building REST APIs with .NET 6, held on January 17, 2023, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event was conducted online via Google Meet and Facebook Live.
II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)
The event presented attendees with the technical information and guidance needed to build robust, secure, and reliable web APIs. The speaker was knowledgeable and engaging, providing the participants with real-world examples to illustrate the concepts.
It also provided an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and learn best practices for implementing such APIs successfully. The event provided a valuable educational experience to all, and I believe it was a great success.
The success of this event has helped many developers become more proficient in their ability to create more efficient REST APIs.
III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)
The event provided the attendees with a comprehensive overview of the .NET 6 framework's practical applications in the real world. Attendees learned about the various features and functions of the framework, such as supporting OpenAPI specifications and providing services for data integration. Additionally, the event focused on topics related to developing secure, resilient, and efficient web APIs, and featured presentations from experts on topics such as scalability, authentication, and caching.
The event was also an opportunity for developers to network and learn from one another. It also gave the attendees a comprehensive overview of the framework and its applications in the real world. Overall, the event was a great success, with many participants leaving with newfound knowledge and resources to develop their skills in building REST APIs with .NET 6.
IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)
Overall, the webinar was audible and visible. It was also streamed on Facebook Live to accommodate for the large number of participants.
V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities
There were no participants that tried to ask anything about the topic, suggesting lack of attention to the event. Perhaps the organization of the event did not provide enough energy for the participants to keep watching.
